As many of you know, I love stylizing newborn sessions, well now it’s happening across maternity too. In the studio client closet, we have bodysuits, long skirts, crop tops, dresses, flowy fabric, flower belts, hats, and more. I really enjoy “mapping out” the session and normally I ask for photos of what someone is going to wear prior to, but now providing garments allows me to really work the photoshoot and even plan the flow too so I can get a lot of variety. I never want to have a maternity client get up and down off the floor too many times so I’ll think of what floor poses I’d like to do ahead of time. You’ll see this again in another session I had last week which I’ll blog as well. It’s really important to me that clients are comfortable AND receive pretty images. In my studio, I have lots of backgrounds that pretty much flow together, but I love putting different color combinations together and creating a vibe for a shoot. For this client, I chose rust, black with then the accent of the green wall. Mixing and matching so the images all flow together, I love how this all came together!
