For this newborn session we chose a winter color pallet since the baby was born in December. We knew we wanted to have the feeling of the holidays, but still create images that would translate all year as well. Warm winter whites, pine cones and furs  set the tone of a natural newborn session in New Hampshire. Then a pop of red and candy cane striped pants added the holiday whimsical flare.  When we photograph newborns we love to keep things relatively simple and focus mostly on the baby. If we choose props we keep it pretty simple but work the babies positioning within them to create a variety of images. By choosing a not only colors but a general theme we are able to create the essence of a session too. We combined the woods of the pine cones and the brown woods of the backgrounds and furs to blend this session together into one cohesive collection.
